There are no plans for an exhibition this year, but I am hoping to have a new series ready by 2018. My current works & creations are explorations regarding time. As we walk this mortal coil, I think sooner or later we all start to think about death. Somehow, I find that the process and the interaction generated in trying to put these thoughts and feelings onto paper are not as frightening as I once imagined.
Details & materials
In my preliminary sketches right now, I find that I am choosing very dark base materials, a lot of black art boards. Consequently, I am concentrating on bringing out the highlights, extracting light from the shadows. It is quite reflective of my current thoughts, in a manner of speaking, I am trying very hard to find the brightness in these days.
